Who We Are

Geminia Life Insurance Company Limited is a Kenyan-owned insurance company which specializes in Life Insurance.  The company was established after Geminia Insurance Company Limited separated its General and Life insurance business.
Geminia Life Insurance Company has a proven track record of rendering efficient and personalized life insurance solutions to all its clients since 1982 and providing well thought-out Insurance, investment, and retirement solutions.

Our History

July 1981 – Geminia Insurance Co. Ltd is incorporated in Kenya

April 1982 – Geminia Insurance Company starts operations by providing General Insurance.

1992 – Geminia Insurance diversifies into Life Insurance.

November 2020 – Geminia Insurance Co Ltd demerges its General insurance & Life insurance businesses to create Geminia Life Insurance Company Limited.


Geminia Life’s strong reinsurance programme is supported by financially stable, well-rated and reputable reinsurers including: 

  • Africa Reinsurance Company 
  • Kenya Reinsurance Corporation 
  • PTA/ ZEP Reinsurance Company 
  • East Africa Reinsurance Company 
Our Location

Our Head Office is at Geminia Insurance Plaza, Upper Hill, Nairobi. We have branches in Westlands, Nairobi CBD, Mombasa, Eldoret, Kisumu, Nyeri and Nakuru.  Plans are in place to create strategic partnerships in other towns in the country.

Customer Service Charter

At Geminia, our philosophy is to provide excellent and efficient services to our customers/service providers at all times, as per our values and goals.

Our Promise

We guarantee to be;

  • Respond to your queries within 24 hours.
  • Acknowledge claim notifications within 48 hours
  • Settle all valid claims within 14 working days upon receipt of complete and correct documentation.
  • Provide regular updates on the claim progress at all stages
  • Issue you with a policy document within 14 working days upon receipt of complete documentation & payment.
  • Provide statements by the 5th of every month
  • Dispatch renewal notices on policies before expiry.
  • Issue an official receipt upon premium
  • Pay commission by the 5th & 20th of every month.
  • Settle all payments to service providers and suppliers within 30 days
  • Ensure that our staff are competent, positive and friendly
  • Offer solutions with transparency and efficiency and provide service in a courteous and honest manner
  • Commit to confidentiality and privacy
